A gift for Father’s Day should always be meaningful, and a local Father’s Day gift will also mean a lot to a small business in your community. Check out our Artisan Guide, or scroll through our picks for local Father’s Day gifts. There’s plenty of goodness to-go listed below, and our Classic Dining Guide offers up tried-and-true options for dining in.

BREADS

Start dad’s day off right with a bevy of bagels from Buttermilk Bakery or Bagel Bruno. Get there early! Pre-order hearty breads like the black olive batard or a pumpernickel round from Olde Hearth Bread Company for all-day savory snacking.

BOURBON

Locally handcrafted spirits including Florida’s very first award-winning bourbons
are available at Winter Park Distilling Company. Make a reservation online for pick-up and purchase. Call the New Standard at (407) 316-2278 by Wednesday to pick-up a flight from Horse Soldier Bourbon along with a cheese or charcuterie plate or even a three-course meal to-go. Guided tasting available via Instagram Live on Friday at 7pm. Full details here.

MEATS

Ribs make for a real he-man feast centerpiece, and Jesse’s Rib Shack (pictured) has been serving up Southern-style ribs with their “magic sauce” since 1987. On the north side of town, Joners Oaksmoke House and Keller’s oak-smoked delicacies deliver big flavor.

The Father’s Day Beer & Bacon Box at Hinckley’s Fancy Meats is sold out, but there are plenty of amazing a la carte items–think elk hot dogs, smoked antelope sausages and wild boar bologna–if you’re game.

SWEETS

The Peanut Butter Satin pie at Sister Honey’s (pictured above) is pure papa-pleasing perfection. Call (407) 730-7315 during business hours at least three days in advance to place an order for whole cakes and pies; selection may be limited. Closed on Sundays.

Pickup vegan sweets from Valhalla Bakery and Valkyrie Doughnuts; both locations offer Irie Cream, dairy-free deliciousness handcrafted by DaJen Eats. Vegan ice creams are also available by the pint from Wondermade and The Greenery Creamery.
